Cardano’s impending Alonzo upgrade will be supported by Binance, the largest exchange in the world in terms of daily trading volume of cryptocurrencies.
On September 12, the most significant upgrade in Cardano’s history will go live to the general public, enabling smart contract capability on the proof-of-stake network.
Binance declared its support for Cardano’s event via an official statement posted on its website yesterday, September 9th, stating that the major digital asset exchange will support the forthcoming Cardano network upgrade.
The following information was included in the announcement:
“The ADA network upgrade & hard fork will commence during epoch 290 or at approximately 2021-09-12 21:44 (UTC). Deposits and withdrawals of ADA will be suspended starting from 2021-09-12 21:14 (UTC).”
At around 21:44 UTC, the hard fork will begin. As soon as the upgrade is deemed stable, Binance will resume deposits and withdrawals.
