The Arbitrum airdrop has caused a stir in the crypto community, as two individuals dubbed “super airdrop hunters” managed to garner tokens worth approximately $3.3 million collectively from a total of 1,496 wallets.
The hype surrounding the Arbitrum (ARB) airdrop is creating a frenzy in the crypto world with a lot of people trying to get their hands on as many tokens as possible as they try to make a quick buck.
There are two “super airdrop hunters” out there who managed to consolidate tokens worth around $3.3 million collectively from 1,496 wallets into their own wallets, according to the blockchain analysis platform Lookonchain.
One of them received a whopping 1.4 million ARB tokens from 866 addresses, which is worth around $2 million. The other one collected 933,375 ARB tokens from 630 addresses, worth around $1.38 million.
Arbitrum community members are speculating about who these super airdrop hunters might be. Some think they could be team members of the project, while others suspect that they might be hackers. One community member even thinks that this could lead to a significant drop in transaction volumes.
Some community members are actually praising these super airdrop hunters, calling them “airdrop gods” and commending their dedication to farming the numbers. And who knows, maybe they just got lucky and managed to scoop up all these tokens fair and square.
Over-the-counter (OTC) markets are already seeing crypto users selling their ARB tokens after the airdrop announcement. But unfortunately, hackers are also getting in on the action. Using compromised vanity wallet addresses, some hackers were able to steal $500,000 worth of ARB tokens from eligible airdrop participants just today.
