The cryptocurrency market is still in its early stages, and altcoins have already demonstrated a desire to impress.
Four crypto proponents Real Vision CEO Raoul Pal, Ran Neu-ner, eToro founder and CEO Yoni Assia, and Megan Creek Capital CEO Mark Yusko, dissect the most advantageous investment between Bitcoin and Altcoin in the near future.
The show began with discussion of the soon-to-be-approved bitcoin futures ETF, which would represent a new and more traditional manner of investing in cryptocurrencies.
Yusko believes that the establishment of a futures ETF is the beginning of something positive since it provides investors with exposure to cryptocurrencies, but that a physical ETF should be introduced alternatively because futures ETFs lead to something bad in the short term.
Q4 is the finest time of the bull cycle, therefore prices will rise regardless; the surge is not due to the ETF news, according to Raoul Pal.
Because of how swiftly the market surged earlier this year, the current bull cycle is stretched, but the structure in which the last phase is playing out is fairly similar to previous cycles, according to Yoni.
Raoul believes that the last leg run will last longer than previous cycles, in which Bitcoin collapsed by the end of Q4, because new institutional investors in the market operate in their own unique ways, and investors who have not yet invested or want to increase their waiting periods will do so by January. He believes the current bull cycle could last until June before the market crashes due to excessive speculation and regulation.
Yoni emphasized that traders and investors should not be overly exposed to Crypto owing to the danger, and that a portfolio diversification is required, which may be achieved by investing in equities as an inflation hedge.
Mark agrees, stating that the risk associated with volatile assets such as Altcoins and the “crappy use of leverage derivatives” that needs to improve is the reason why traders should diversify their portfolio and include non-correlated assets in their portfolio.
Traders should try to invest in assets that appreciate over time as a result of innovation, he noted.
Raoul Pal’s cryptocurrency holdings comprise 3% Bitcoin, 77 percent Ethereum, and the remainder in altcoins. According to Yoni, his cryptocurrency portfolio is made up of 40% Bitcoin, 40% Ethereum, and the remainder is made up of altcoins.
Apart from Bitcoin and Ethereum, Mark Yusko says his venture capital has invested in Axie infinity, BarnBridge, Illuvium, and LeagueDAO, which has yet to launch. He went on to say that he supports the play-to-earn and metaverse business models.
