Jack Dorsey received a bid for his first Tweet of $2.5m and -perhaps without knowing- is using the Ethereum network to enter the NFT universe. Ran is super bullish about NFTs and thinks it’s bringing mainstream adoption since everybody wants to own cool stuff, without being interested in all the technical stuff that crypto is bringing.
Next up, Ran is talking about Ethereum’s new EIP1559 protocol which is the next eth upgrade to regulate the gas fees and makes eth deflationary by burning eth with every transaction. It launches in July this year. Miners are not happy but it’s going to happen anyway. With all these developments for ETH Ran is expecting a $20.000 to $25.000 price of ETH at the end of this year (6:55).
Regarding Bitcoin, Ran is pointing towards a tweet of Peter Brandt, a well known analyst (10:00) who expects a BTC price of $300.000 to $350.000 before the end of the year.
Next up is a segment about the PAID Network hack and an interview with Kyle the CEO of PAID with a postmortem about the hack and the team’s response (20:30).
Token of the month is Fantom, one of the under the radar projects. Ran is having an interview with Michael Chen, CEO of Fantom (39:20).
Ran is closing the show by mentioning tomorrow’s interview with Shahaf Bar-Geffen from COTI including a full review of the project.
