Bitcoin 2021: World’s Largest Cryptocurrency Conference kicks off in Miami

The Bitcoin 2021 main conference day kicked off June 4th, 2021 at Wynwood Convention Center, Miami featuring mayor Francis Suarez, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor and many others.

Bitcoin 2021, the biggest Bitcoin event in history with a sold-out crowd of at least 12,000 attendees in Miami, is kicking off with some of the world’s biggest industry players.

The conference will be one of the largest crypto gatherings to emerge following the COVID-19 pandemic, with organizers expecting more than 50,000 attendees. An unofficial part of the conference kicked off Thursday with a “Whale Day” featuring Galaxy CEO Mike Novogratz and BitGO CEO Mike Belshe.

The event is positioned to be something “more like a music festival,” featuring multiple stages, including the main “Nakamoto Stage” as well as side stages like “Stacking Sats Stage” and “End Of Fiat Stage.”

Initially set to take place in Los Angeles, California, Bitcoin 2021 was relocated to Miami earlier this year as mayor Francis Suarez began campaigning to establish Miami as the “world’s cryptocurrency capital.”
Suarez said, “In the past 6 months since that tweet, we have seen an unprecedented amount of companies, technologists, and investors choose to move Miami.”

The convention runs from Friday, June 4 through June 6th.
