Vitalik Buterin, co-creator of the world’s second most-valuable blockchain Ethereum, has taken a major hit to his net worth after the price of ether (ETH) dipped.
ETH is trading hands at $1,818 as of Sunday, June 27th, down by approximately 60 percent 6 weeks after reaching its all-time-high of $4,338 on May 12. The decline of the second-largest cryptocurrency falls in line with the rest of the market, as over $400 billion wiped off crypto market since news broke of crackdown on bitcoin miners in China.
Buterin’s two main ether addresses currently hold 325,001 and 1,366 ETH worth a collective $593,335,206 as of 12:49 p.m CET. The current value of his holdings is $823,616,100 less than the $1.41 billion it was worth at ETH peak price on May 12.
Vitalik Buterin first became the world’s youngest crypto billionaire at age 27 when ETH price surpassed $3,000 on May 3.
