The highly awaited Solana-based Milady NFT memecoin presale secured a speedy closure after earning 91,486 SOL (equivalent to $18.7 million) within a span of two hours. The popular SOL-loving Milady Wif Hat project mentioned a minimum investment cap of 1 SOL and a maximum cap of 88,888 SOL, achieving surplus investment following the presale.
The Milady NFT collection, containing 10,000 anime-derived image profile avatars, has successfully attracted the attention of the crypto community, especially in this ongoing bullish market. Worth noting is the endorsement by Su Zhu, the co-founder of the Singaporean Three Arrows Capital hedge fund. Following Su Zhu’s acquisition announcement of the Milady NFTs, there was a significant doubling in the price per NFT, soaring to a peak of $19,000.
Memecoins have been garnering quite the talk of the town during the recent crypto market surge. The memecoin Dogwifhat (WIF), another popular coin from the Solana blockchain, reached an all-time high valuation of $3 during March 14. It has witnessed an astonishing gain percentage of more than 1,000,000% since its launch. The coin recently raised over $700,000 to showcase its logo on the Las Vegas sphere, adding to its popularity.
A rather unfortunate incident occurred on the same day, with token developer Slerf accidentally burning 53,000 SOL during the presale. This led to a complete loss for the investors who had allotted their funds to the presale airdrop.
