The Solana blockchain network has been updated to address users’ urgent demand to resolve outage issues.
After several days of decreased performance and congestion, the Solana blockchain has been updated to version 1.8.14. Users discovered challenges with transaction processing and network congestion while the blockchain was not under a significant strain at the start of the year, prompting the first reports of network troubles.
The developers intend to deploy more performance enhancements in the following 8-12 weeks. While developers anticipate more network updates and service, third-party services such as cross-chain bridge Wormhole continue to warn their users about the possibility of transfers being rejected by the network.
The Solana network has gone down for the third time in less than six months. The mainnet fell down for around 24 hours on September 16th, 2021, after hitting a peak of 400,000 transactions per second.
The growing number of DDoS attacks on the SOL network is suspected to be caused by flaws in the network’s blockchain.
According to a Grayscale security analysis from December 2021, SOL uses a new blockchain technology that is not widely utilized and may not work as intended.
The encryption that underpins the network may contain flaws, such as deficiencies that render the SOL Network inoperable or vulnerable to assault.
